Gigastrand International announces Indiegogo crowd-funding for revolutionary new software

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Oct. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- The Indegogo project is called the Gigastrand OS ( http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/415377/ ), the software is being developed by Gigastrand International to unify the end-user experience across multiple devices while providing an unprecedented level of support for those using the software.

“This project is centered solely around the end-user and the devices they use,” Gigastrand founder and CEO Josh Tordsen explains. “Once we have a fully-developed system, regardless of who you are, what device you use, or what you need to do, it is likely that our system will allow you to do it. ”

According to the Gigastrand OS website, “Gigastrand OS is a self-supporting PC operating system designed with superior cross-platform compatibility but is safer and less expensive to operate than other systems.” The Indegogo page goes on to explain that a “self-supporting OS” is one in which all of the support systems are contained within the operating system itself or provided directly to the end-user by the developer – in this case Gigastrand International.

All of the key features add up to some impressive numbers when it comes to business use as Mr. Tordsen explains. “The technologies and support systems will make it so friendly that you can give it to anyone and they will be able to use it – without making you responsible for support. Partly because of this, in one cost analysis we conducted, a small office could realize over $500,000 in savings over 10 years compared to other systems.”

In the year since the Gigastrand OS was conceptualized in late 2012, Gigastrand International has self-funded much of the development and done some test-marketing. In June 2013 Gigastrand released a free product based on the last stable BETA currently available as a download or disc purchase in their store. Gigastrand has since switched to a new, more advanced code base and plans to continue development once the crowd-funding is complete.
