The annual event has raised nearly $3 million since 2008.
● Community 4:12 - to address poverty and justice issues in under-resourced areas like East Aurora and Joliet ● Haiti - to rebuild communities and impact the people of Haiti through our partnership with Compassion International. ● Philippines – removing children from poverty and abuse on the streets, starting new churches, and offering quality education for local communities. ● NewThing - to start new churches around the world relentlessly dedicated to helping people find their way back to God. Community’s Lead Pastor Dave Ferguson noted the vast level of participation in Celebration Generosity, saying, “This year, 1,115 families/individuals gave to this year's Celebration Generosity. We also had 200 families and individuals give for the very first time!” Ferguson added, “Together we will reach people far from God. Together we'll bring restoration to places locally and globally that need hope and healing. Together we will reproduce over and over the mission of God in communities so that more people can find their way back to God.” All 13 Community Christian Church campuses throughout Chicagoland participated in Celebration Generosity. In its six year history, Celebration Generosity has given away just shy of $3 million to these causes. Ferguson said of Celebration Generosity, "This is one of the most anticipated weekends we have all year. The fact is, generosity is contagious, and nothing gets us more excited than giving away a bunch of money to other organizations that are changing their communities and the world." Community Christian Church is a nondenominational Christian church whose mission is helping people find their way back to God. Community currently serves through 13 locations throughout Chicagoland.
