Knoxville TN Regional Partnership Hires CGR to Create Online Community Profile

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Plan East Tennessee, a regional partnership consisting of 5 counties, 16 cities, four towns and dozens of public, private and non-profit partners focused on driving future improvements in the Knoxville region, has hired CGR to develop an online community profile. Known as PlanET, the partnership is developing a vision for East Tennessee.

PlanET has been funded in part by a federal Sustainable Housing and Communities grant through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Surveys, data collection, analyses, forums, charrettes and other PlanET activities focus on issues involving jobs, housing, transportation, community health, and the environment.

CGR’s online community profiles (also known as community indicator sites) give stakeholders and residents ready access to data, providing a common foundation to assess how well a community is doing and to track progress over time. CGR’s profiles also make it possible to instantly create customized charts “on demand” using the data.

CGR will help PlanET track progress in 75 indicators of community well-being. As part of the project, CGR will develop new website features, including a Community Dashboard displaying data for key indicators at a glance. In addition, CGR will assist PlanET in facilitating stakeholder discussions regarding future plans to expand and sustain the project.

CGR will complete the online community profile by year-end 2013.
