Gigastrand stays committed to OS development.

Despite slow fundraising efforts on Indiegogo, Gigastrand says it is committed to developing it's own OS to 1.0.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Oct. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Gigastrand International announced today that it will commit to the development of the Gigastrand OS after the Indiegogo fundraiser has ended (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gigastrand-operating-system).

"This is just too good an idea to simply stop development," said founder Josh Tordsen. "Our outreach has been limited, but where we have been able to reach out, the feedback on what we are trying to do has been very positive. Many of our business customers have asked if it would be a good fit for their business."

The Gigastrand Operating System switched development at BETA 3 earlier this year to a newer codebase. Shortly thereafter, Gigastrand began the Indegogo project to raise the necessary capital to continue development.

"Not hitting our target will slow us down a bit," explains Mr. Tordsen, "but Gigastrand has a history of being resourceful and innovative. We will find additional funding sources and keep at it."

If the Gigastrand OS reaches minimum goals, 2 new BETAs (Open 32 and 64 bit) are scheduled for public release December 1st.
