Zampell Enters the Danish Marketplace and Acquires Refcon A/S and Schmidt & Danielsen A/S

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Zampell Companies - As of September 30, 2013 and October 28, 2013, respectively, Zampell  has acquired both Refcon A/S and Schmidt & Danielsen A/S!

Refcon is located in the city of Nastved in the eastern part of Denmark and Schmidt & Danielsen has locations in Videbaek and Sønder Omme in the western part of Denmark.  The combination of Refcon and Schmidt Danielsen will help to solidify both companies in the Danish marketplace and help each company to build on each other’s strengths to grow in their regions.  It will help to expand the joint capabilities of the companies by increasing resources to ensure ongoing competitive service throughout the country.

Through the acquisition process, in order to protect confidentiality, there were no discussions between the parties on the future steps to join the businesses together.  In order to ensure a smooth transition, both companies will be conducting business as usual for the balance of 2013.  At the beginning of 2014, Zampell, Refcon, and Schmidt & Danielsen will begin the process of joining together with a goal to complete this by the end of 2014.

The ultimate service concept will include two Zampell service operations: one in the eastern part of Denmark and one in the west.  The Schmidt & Danielsen staff will be primarily focused on Jutland, and the Refcon staff will be primarily focused on the islands of Funen and Zealand.  Both companies bring a new relationship with B&W/Vølund to Zampell and an impressive background in a wide variety of Energy from Waste projects including the recent Martin GmbH project in Roskilde and the new B&W/Vølund project at County Meath in Ireland.
