Every advance made in our ability to communicate has allowed humanity to develop its ideas and knowledge. We are living through the single biggest communication advance in our history - so what is it doing to us? SXSELondon is the only festival that aims to answer that question. In aid of Crisis, the homeless charity, we aim to show through our contributors how business, education, science, politics, community, film & TV, music, environment, photography and rabble-rousing are being given a huge boost by an increased ability to connect with people all over the world. This year's speakers include Jon Morter, who famously took Rage against the Machine to Christmas number 1, Julie Meyer, one of the very first Dragons on Dragons Den, Ruth Barnett, the first ever social media correspondent, Stuart Heritage ofthe Guardian, with contributions from the BBC, the National Trust, Weber Shandwick, The Oxford Internet Institute, the digital experts from each political party and a panel of experts from every single social network. Each of them has been asked to help us show how technology has changed their lives. In the evening, we will be showcasing some of London's best comedic and musical talent, including Sara Pascoe(Live at the Apollo) Funmbi Omotayo (Tramadol Nights) and Scott Capurro (Mrs Doubtfire) on the comedy stage. On the live stage, Max Sanderson, Dirty Luck, The Silver Ghosts and many more of London's best emerging bands shortly to be confirmed. In addition to the above, SXSE London is proud to be working with Crisis to create "Agency Steeplechase", in which we are inviting every one of London's creative, social and digital agencies to participate for free, and which aims to help solve some of the problems faced by the charity. Agencies interested in participating should contact Ben@sxselondon.co.uk - Prizes will be given away for the winning ideas! Tickets are on sale through Eventbrite at sxselondon.co.uk, and 100% of our profits go to help the homeless. End
