America's Hometown Express Train

PLYMOUTH, Mass. - Nov. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Now in its fourth year, the America’s Hometown Express sponsored by Marty’s GMCcontinues to chug along, bringing tons of food and hundreds of meals to needy families as a part of America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration the weekend before Thanksgiving.  A school bus transformed into a locomotive in 2010 has collected food from a crowd of over 200,000 whose bags are put in the locomotive and coal car along the parade route.

Over 200,000 people lining the parade route 12 to 15 people deep, some walking a few miles with lawn chairs to get a glimpse of this one of a kind historic, chronological parade of floats and pilgrim, patriotic, and military heroes celebrated by the best Drum Corps units in America has now been inspired to give at Thanksgiving!  What better time is there for such an endeavor?

Part of the mission of America’s Hometown Thanksgiving is to inspire Americans in “America’s Hometown”, as well as around the nation is to have a meal on every table during the Thanksgiving Holiday and all year.  This year not only has Marty’s GMC stepped up to help us in the effort, Stop & Shop has partnered with the Celebration in the A.H.T.C. fights hunger initiative.  Stop & Shop will be onsite and in the parade in an effort to eliminate hunger.  Let’ do it again, and give to the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse. Bring your non-perishable donation of food the America’s Hometown Express sponsored by Marty’s GMC.  What better place to demonstrate charity and personal concern for one’s neighbor than in “America’s Hometown” where Thanksgiving began?
