Fort Myers Cash Mob Sponsors Cash Mob with Christ Centered Life Store

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Fort Myers Cash Mob is collaborating with Christ Centered Life Store to host a cash mob in Ft. Myers. The cash mob is a fairly recent phenomenon, having grown from the desire to show support for small, independent businesses. The idea is simple: gather a large group of people to descend on a business in a short time span, and have each person spend $10 – $20 in cash at that business.

"It’s like a cash injection for a small, independent business,” says Karyn Brooks, co-founder of the Ft. Myers Cash Mob. “Our goal is to bring the community together to support these great local businesses”, adds Kathy Kalvan, co-founder.

“This cash mob will have an early Christmas Shopping feel to it. We will have a local vocal ensemble called byDesign, from Evangelical Christian School, and a local baker, Marsha, from Auntie M’s Goodies with her famed cupcakes in a jar, joining us”, mentions Danny Vera, owner of Christ Centered Life Store.

Fort Myers Cash Mob is a local movement started in May of 2013 by two local business women Kathy Kalvan and Karyn Brooks. They have a heart for locally owned businesses and a desire to see these businesses spotlighted and promoted to members of their communities. Through a screening process, they identify businesses they believe will be successful locations for Cash Mob “Hits” and work with the business to bring a Cash Mob event to their location.
