Follow on Google News | Keeping the Promise of Clean and Safe NeighborhoodsImmigrants Charitable Foundation volunteers and the staff, rolled up their sleeves and brushed the streets of East Hollywood. The clean-up efforts were focused along 900 Block of Mariposa, between Romaine Ave and Marathon Avenue. Additionally, neighbors walked down from buildings and pitched in along with community volunteers to remove brush, old furniture and sweep the street sidewalks. Immigrants Charitable Foundation’s Board of Directors, Staff, and benefactors are honored to engage the community to care for the very basic elements that guide the principles of civic participation. Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, that represents Council District 13, welcomed everyone and highlighted civic engagement as the homegrown tool for a better future.
