Paleo Brownies and Other Treats

The Paleo diet offers many great meat, seafood and vegetable meals. Some people dont know that you can also enjoy your favorite desserts including Paleo brownies. To be Paleo, a treat must be grain and dairy free. It also should be low in sugars and preservative free. This is really not a problem because there are many good grain free flours, such as almond flour. This means you can bake your favorite treats such as Paleo brownies, Paleo muffins, and even Paleo pumpkin pie. Once you are familiar with the tricks of the trade, you really dont have to give up much at all.

To be a Paleo baker, you will need a couple of ingredients. Mostly you will need a grain free flour such as almond flour, coconut milk, and perhaps a Paleo cooking oil.  These are readily available in most health and whole foods stores. Other than these small changes, baking paleo desserts is almost identical to non Paleo desserts.

By avoiding grains, dairy (except eggs) your body will most likely begin to lose body fat, and if you suffer from allergic conditions you may feel better quickly. Even serious conditions like Diabetes seems to respond well to the Paleo diet.

Baking Paleo also requires a knowledge of Paleo foods and  Paleo food list will make things easier. Many of the better Paleo books will include Paleo food lists and even grocery lists to make Paleo baking easier.
