Scoop OTP co-creators chosen as MOMpreneurs in Cherokee County, GA

CANTON, Ga. - Nov. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- - Scoop OTP, an Insider’s Guide to Living Outside the Perimeter of Atlanta, is a website that has recommendations on restaurants, retail therapy, products made OTP, family fun and an event and happenings calendar.  After one year in business, more than 150 unique places or products all across the northern suburbs of Atlanta have been scoop-approved.

Scoop OTP, http://scoopotp.com was recently selected from Canton Magazine, http://cantonmag.com, as “Mompreneurs” for balancing their active website and raising their children.  In fact, the idea for Scoop OTP originated from the two creators, Michelle Knapp and Suzanne Taylor’s children’s busy sport’s schedule.  As they sat at lacross fields and basketball venues all day around town, they would go and explore in-between breaks.  There was nothing to guide either of them on where to go locally to find a good non-chain restaurant or a unique shop.

Both co-creators love to support the independent stores by shopping local. The website was created out of their own personal need and with the goal to provide recommendations to others that are out exploring OTP.  “You don’t need to go into Atlanta for a great restaurant,” says Suzanne Taylor.

“Our search engine bar is a useful tool for our fans who find themselves in an unfamiliar city,” says Michelle Knapp.  The recommendations of places may also include if it’s a great place to bring your mother-in-law, to wear your heels, or if your three-year-old nephew will be entertained.

The site has added new categories since they originated with guest writers contributing to Man Scoop, Scoop After Dark for nightlife, and Scoop Stars that include locals who excel in music, sports, art, drama, and more.  Our savvy scoopers provide great content as the leaders in the field of fitness, decorating, technology, realty and more.

In addition, we have a large calendar of events on our website.  We are the go-to resource for OTP and their weekend plans.  In addition, we provide Family Life Publications that is mailed and distributed in Canton, Magazine, and North Fulton, a list of Scoop Approved events for the month.
