Pricing Announced For the 2014 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T Models

The all-new 1.8T TSI engine has been specially designed to be more fuel-efficient and lighter than the previous 2.5L engine. This EA888 Generation 3 powerplant features state-of-the-art technologies like a thinwall cylinder block, an integrated exhaust manifold, and a powertrain specially designed to reduce friction. The results are noticeable, with an output of 170 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, as well as competitive fuel economy at an EPA estimated 34 mpg highway and 24 mpg in the city.

The new 1.8T Passat will be available in a wide variety of trim options to fit the needs of a range of drivers.
