The Rock Church Brings Hope Through Turkey Dinner Giveaway for Over Two Decades

MONROE, Wash. - Nov. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- It is time again to turn our thoughts to those members of the community who are struggling and lighten their load by simply providing food so that they might have a happy Thanksgiving. Last year, through the generosity of all who donated, The Rock Church collected enough food and money to bless over 150 families.

“Not only did we hand them out to those who came to our church to pick them up, but we were able to give the extras to the local food banks. Our desire is to go bigger so that we can reach many more people and that’s why we’ve partnered with Albertsons in two locations this year.” - Rory Tongg

More importantly, Jeff and Melinda Knight, Lead Pastors of The Rock Church (TRC), desire people to know that, if they are lacking and in need, they can pick up a meal following the 11:30 service on Sunday, November 24^th at The Rock Church, 16891 146^th Street SE, Monroe, WA 98272.

Pastors Jeff and Melinda, along with their team, look forward to welcoming you to TRC. First time guests are encouraged to let the parking attendants know you’re here for the first time. They will guide you to the special parking area near the entrance and volunteers are standing by to help with your kids, too. Infant childcare and top-notch, age appropriate activities for toddlers to 5^th grade students is provided in the TRC Kids Ministries.

If you would like to donate a dinner, you can purchase the items on the list below and drop them off at The Rock Church (16891 146^th St SE, Monroe, WA 98272) or at the Monroe or Lake Stevens Albertsons’ parking lots or at a drop location inside the stores through November 23^rd:

* 1 Can of Olives
* 1 Can of Cranberries
* 1 Box of Stuffing Mix
* 5lb bag of Potatoes
* 1 Can of Corn
* 1 Grocery Store gift Card: $25 (for turkey and butter)
