Follow on Google News | Philosophy discussions get social with international Tweet Chat on World Philosophy DayA philosophy graduate and author of two books that delve into the world of philosophy, mental health and religion will be hosting a tweet chat on World Philosophy Day (Nov 21 2013) to help inspire more people to explore the world of philosophy.
By: Media Jems Ltd Using the hashtag #UltimateTruth, Steven, using the twitter handle @stevencolborne, will engage in a series of philosophical questions to get the debate going, such as ‘Is there such a thing as free will?’. He hopes that many people will join in from across the globe and ignite a fresh passion for philosophy, bringing with it the message that it’s not just for the academics, but is accessible for everyone. Steven explains, “I fell into philosophy later in life following the death of my mother to cancer after I went on a search for the meaning of life, enlightenment and to try and make sense of why people suffer. This led to an interest in philosophy and I subsequently enrolled in a Postgraduate course in Philosophy and Religion at the University of London. I hope that by hosting a philosophical debate on Twitter during World Philosophy Day, I will help inspire others to explore the subject and find out that Philosophy really is for everyone and anyone.” To help mark World Philosophy Day further, Steven is offering his new book ‘Ultimate Truth: God Beyond Religion’ for 99p via Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/ To join in with the debate at 5pm GMT on Thursday 21st November, simply use the hashtag #UltimateTruth in your thread.
