Waterproofing Admixture completely waterproofs a concrete tank, constructed using Cemex concrete by Ali & Sons.

When added or applied to concrete, Krystol chemicals waterproof by reacting with moisture which causes long, narrow crystals to form within the capillaries and hairline cracks of the concrete mass. Once the concrete has cured, the crystalline chemicals sit dormant until another dose of water (such as through a new crack) causes the chemical reaction to begin again.

The ability to reactivate in the presence of water, throughout the entire life of the concrete without reapplication needed, gives Krystol-treated concrete the ability to “self-seal” any future hairline cracks up to .5 mm (.02 in.). Designed to be especially effective in below grade, areas with high risk of water ingress, the Krystol system is effective against hydrostatic pressure up to 140 m (460 ft.).
