Follow on Google News | Installation of New Art by Fawn RogersBy: Fawn Rogers The commission represents an important stride for the field of light-based art in Los Angeles. With regard to the work, artist Fawn Rogers is quoted as saying, "I wanted to create something bright, serene, and connected to nature." Each artwork measures 60″ x 72″, together representing just one inch of natural light, significantly enlarged. The work is free from any color enhancement or image manipulation. The works are framed utilizing a 2” seamless brushed metal box mount. Rogers states, “My inspiration for these particular pieces came from viewing a Monet painting where the sun hits the water and the water lilies. I was trying to capture one inch of that world, enlarge it, and give it breath.” Fawn Rogers has recently gained attention within the artistic community for her groundbreaking work with visible electromagnetic light. The Visible Light series is comprised of images created by natural light projected through purified water. It represents the first installment of a series of work incorporating natural elements such as light, water, blood, and clay. The two commissioned pieces are currently on view at Alan Friedman Jewelry, 350 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills, CA. www.fawnrogers.com (Fawn Rogers is an American visual artist.
