FREE Handel's Messiah Concert At Historic Philadelphia Church Draws Hundreds Annually

PHILADELPHIA - Nov. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- The Mother Bethel AME Church Cathedral Choir members, and friends, are making preparations for the annual Handel's Messiah concert that is sure to usher us into the Christmas holiday season. Handel's Messiah at Mother Bethel is free and open to the public and will take place on Sunday December 15, 2013, at 6pm, at the church located at 419 South 6th Street. There is free overflow parking available at nearby McCall Elementary School parking lot. Handel's Messiah at Mother Bethel features nearly 100 voices, along with soloists, and a full orchestra. Mother Bethel offers this event, annually, to the community. In pervious years nearly 1,000 people filled the pews of the historic sanctuary with cathedral high ceilings and beautifully ornate stained glass windows.
