Follow on Google News | Find a Unique Shopping Experience at the 2013 Chicago One of a Kind Show and SaleThe One of a Kind Show and Sale returns to Chicago this year for it’s thirteenth season of holiday shopping.
The One of a Kind Show gets its name from the goods it provides. Most of the products found in the market are handmade, meaning each item has no other exactly like it in the entire world. Artists at the One of A Kind Show and Sale this year will be presenting ceramics, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, paper works, photography, wood, and goods for kids, holiday themed goods, fiber art, furniture, and more. Packaging and shipping services will also be available on site, provided by Navis. That way, shoppers looking to send gifts to those out of town, can take care of the whole process in one stop. Shopping can be tiring for even the most seasoned holiday buyers. That’s why gourmet food will be offered at a few cafes scatted around the market, all of which will offer bar service. A special sports lounge will also be open during business hours to provide drinks and give football fans a chance to watch the big game. Another way to feel even closer to the artists and craftspeople making the goods for sale at the One of A Kind Sale is to visit one of the many Artist Talks. These 20 minute presentations give artists a chance to discuss their work and their process, giving attendees a bigger picture and greater insight into the process. The hours for the market are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on December 5 and 6, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on December 7, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 8. Standard admission is $12 per person, and special pricing is available for groups.
