Drew Gooden Passes Out 500 Gift Tickets in the City of Richmond, CA

RICHMOND, Calif. - Dec. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Richmond, CA- December 2, 2013- The Drew Gooden Foundation is proud to announce that they are hosting another Holiday Toy Giveaway Event for the children of Richmond, CA. The winter wonderland themed function will take place at the Booker T. Anderson Community Center, where Drew was recently caught serving Thanksgiving meals to families in the community.

The recipients of the toy drive are already accounted for and will be distributed amongst children in the inner city of Richmond, who have been specifically handed a ticket. The DG Foundation dispersed 500 tickets that qualify them to receive one present on Sunday, December 22. The themed event will include a Santa Claus station, holiday music, free giveaways, and more fun filled things to do for the children invited.

“It was fun hanging out with the kids and families.  I served food and even did an art project with the kids from the Mindful Life Program.  Anytime I come and give back, everyone is so appreciative”, Gooden said as he reflected on his Thanksgiving event that took place on Sunday, November 24.  The 6’10 NBA veteran and free agent also said, “I love this time of the year and I know they are excited for what we have in store for our toy drive in December”.

The foundation can still use donations to make this memorable event more special.  Ways to contribute include donating unopened toys, individual or corporate tax deductible monetary donations, locations to set up toy collection boxes, gift wrapping material donations, and food & drink donations to provide the day of. With the help of supporters, we can maximize on the event and spread an even greater holiday cheer throughout.
