The Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from- Dr. Calat was pleased to volunteer on Sunday December 1st, 2013 at the Long Island Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park. While there he had the chance to meet with the families of critically ill children and provide them with his support. Dr. Calat, used an old family recipe to prepare Meatballs and homemade sauce for the houses sixty residents. After the event, Dr. Calat was quoted: "As a medical professional I am compelled to help others, particularly where children are involved. It’s very rewarding to support an organization, whose mission is to help provide comfort, food and a supportive place to stay for the families of children with critical illnesses.
