Follow on Google News | Marmot Coming to Outdoorkit for Spring/Summer 2014Outdoorkit are delighted to announce they will be stocking Marmot for the Spring/Summer 2014 season this year.
By: outdoorkit Eric did a winter ascent of the Grand Teton in Wyoming with Tom Boyce of Grand Junction, Colorado in 1973. Eric and Dave joined Tom in Colorado that next Spring. There, the threesome rented a 100 year old stone building near downtown that used to be a grocery store, and opened a rental and retail shop under the name of Marmot Mountain Works. They taught cross-country skiing in the winter to get by. Thus, in the spring of 1974, Marmot the company was born. Marmot grew from 7 dealers in 1974 to 11 in 1977. Specialized, knowledgeable, trained retailers were always part of the original equation. Marmot has grown since 1977. It is now headquartered in Rohnert Park, California. It now has offices in California, Colorado, Canada, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany. Its products are distributed in over 60 countries. Marmot crafts professional quality outdoor gear, born from working mountain guides and instructors. Inspired by the Alpinist spirit of adventure to search and achieve in a harsh world, their products are simple, appropriate, dependable and damn good looking. One particular new product coming into stock is the Marmot Men's Thermo Hoody. Made with highly efficient Polartec Power Dry, it's a great choice for the active user that wants to stay warm on the go. It features an attached hood, giving all round weather protection for your head. The Hoody has flatlock construction throughout, ensuring a lack of chafing, a highly annoying ailment, especially when your involved in more high octane pursuits. A zippered chest pocket on the front allows you to store those little essentials and accessories you might need while your out and about; a healthy packet of Haribo perhaps. Elastic bound cuffs tidy the sleeve's off neatly and comfortably. There's also thumb loops featured to try and help cut out the draft blowing up the sleeves and for a neater overall fit to the body. We've got the Thermo Hoody due in two colours; Dark Azure/Navy Blue and Steel/Cinder. http://www.outdoorkit.co.uk/ End
