Drew Gooden Foundation Spreads Holiday Cheer & Gifts 500 Children

RICHMOND, Calif. - Dec. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Less than a month after feeding about 200 families a Thanksgiving meal, the Drew Gooden Foundation is back at Booker T. Anderson spreading more holiday cheer.  The Foundation is proud to gift 500 children, which include kids from the inner city of Richmond, The Mindful Life Project ,Make-A-Wish Foundation Greater Bay Area, Richmond YMCA, and Oakland’s First Place For Youth Organization.

The foundation will enthusiastically host a winter wonderland themed day at 960 South 47^th Street in Richmond California, which will feature numerous interactive stations including a Santa Claus for the kids and their families to enjoy. Children who have received an invitation and gift ticket will enjoy themselves from 1:00-4:00pm this Sunday December 22.

There will be supporting companies on site with free giveaways for the accounted guests, which include Wells Fargo Bank, BodyArmor SuperDrink, Coldstone Creamery, Pretzel Crisps, and Local Kitchen & Wine Merchant.

The Drew Gooden Foundation works closely with the City of Richmond, where NBA free agent, Drew Gooden spent majority of his lifetime growing up.  “It is our duty to provide opportunities for kids to enjoy themselves.  Some of the events we put on are things we wish we had growing up”, said Maurice Braxton, Director of the DG Foundation.
