This state of the art treatment modality is becoming an essential component in contemporary implant dentistry.
Clinical evidence based research conducted in the past twenty years has demonstrated that mucosa supported guides increase surgical accuracy over conventional free-handed surgeries, although due to cost it decreases patient’s acceptance to this type of procedure.
Fabrication of computer designed dentures has recently been reported in the literature and is a promising adjuct to implant prosthodontics. This process eliminates laboratory processing errors.
Experienced clinicians all over the world are developing different and innovative usages for computer guided protocols in order to achieve clinical excellence for their patients.
