EMT Training Offered January 2014

WARMINSTER, Pa. - Dec. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) care for the sick or injured in emergency medical settings. People’s lives often depend on their quick reaction and competent care. EMT's respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the need for EMT's to grow by 33 percent from 2010 to 2020, much faster than the average for all occupations.

The SafeTec Training Services Training Institute has a rigorous curriculum which compromises at least 200 hours of classroom, clinical, and field training experiences. The program follows the National Education Standards for EMS training. The SafeTec Training Services instructional staff ensure the highest quality of education and professional standards are upheld. Successful completion of the EMT program qualifies the candidate to take the National Registry of EMT's practical and computer based testing.

The emergency medical technician course will begin on January 13, 2014. The course will be offered at SafeTec Training Services’ Philadelphia, PA area education center. This course will be completed in approximately 12.5 weeks. The course will be held Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. Additional time outside of class will be required for completion of clinical time. Additional time for weather or other cancellations may be required as needed.
