By: SapphiraPR As a veteran of many globally successful reality shows, television shows, and movies, Schatar, now Schatar Sapphira Collier, shares her experience in the form of a witty, interactive e-book full of valuable information designed to empower, inspire and motivate others to create their own productions. “Many people tell me they have an idea for a reality show but they don’t know where to start. In my e-book, I share tips and tools about production, lighting, selecting your cast, finding a good location, editing, audio mixing pointers and information to produce your version of your show using tools you may already have. Plus, there is a chapter on options to finance, fund or register your content for monetization from the beginning.” Always an advocate of education, when Schatar is approached by young fans, she often encourages them to stay in school, emphasizing using knowledge as a tool to create the lives that they want for themselves – whether it is in the entertainment field or another field such as medicine, education or technology. She is an instructor at LetsMake.tv and teaches the course Reality TV 101 at https://www.udemy.com/ Schatar says, “You must understand the power of production. When you see me on screen in the different roles, vixen roles, dramatic roles, girl next door roles, intellectual roles, comedic roles, and physically demanding roles - it all takes a lot of preparation to get into character. No one just hands it to you. Plus, you have to know how to work efficiently on a live television set. Many of the specific tips and techniques I use when preparing for the taping of these TV shows or filming of these movies, I learned at school and when researching my senior thesis.” At the University of Pennsylvania, Schatar completed her thesis on Women in Entertainment with a minor concentration in English, where she read and studied many top authors, artists, producers and screen writers to best prepare for her professional career in the film, production, music and television industries. She went on to do graduate studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins. Schatar says, “One of the first things to do when you are booked for a movie or television show is to read every page of the script. From this script, you can determine more about the character you are playing and how best to bring them to life with the role. By reading and absorbing each word on the page, you will receive information and insight into your character’s role and experience as well as a deeper understanding of the various dramatic stages of the story. When it is well written, you can receive lots of information from the writer themselves about the subtle things that will help each scene develop and unfold with richness, layers of complexity and authenticity. There is a similar process you must do when developing your themes, scenes and plot points for your own reality TV show as well as thinking of entertainment value and international marketability since we are now in a global economy.” To download your copy of Schatar Sapphira Collier’s book “Let’s Make Your Own Reality Show…Using Tools You May Already Have”, click here: http://www.slideshare.net/ For the full Reality TV 101 course and for more information: https://www.udemy.com/ www.Schatar.com www.Facebook.com/ www.Twitter.com/ End
