Michael H. Cole Co-Stars With Gabrielle Union In New Drama Series Being Mary Jane On BET Network

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Michael H. Cole was on the set of the recent theatrical release "A Madea Christmas" when he got word that his character, Greg Stohl of the BET drama series "Being Mary Jane," would be expanded for a larger recurring role.   Michael was happy to audition a second time.

Soon after, while shooting a scene with actor Omar Epps for the pilot of Walt Disney's "The Returned," Michael received the call from his agent at Houghton Talent and was officially hired for the role.

"Playing Greg Stohl was the highlight of 2013 for me," says Michael.

"Being Mary Jane," from the producers of "Girlfriends" and the award-winning, record-breaking BET comedy "The Game," will re-air its pilot episode on January 7th before the start of a nine episode season (Tuesdays, 10P/9C).

"Being Mary Jane" offers intense drama and unforgettable dialogue as successful television news anchor Mary Jane Paul (played by Gabrielle Union), juggles work life, relationships and family.

"Watching Gabrielle Union on set is amazing," says Michael, who plays Mary Jane's boss Greg Stohl.  "Gabrielle is a truly powerful actress with staying power.  She definitely carries the show."

Mara and Salim Akil, the show's producers, "are the dynamic duo," adds Michael.  "Mara’s writing is so compelling and Salim’s directing made my job a joy and a pleasure."
