Quest-Logix Releases New Version of Business Continuity Solution

Monday, January 6, 2014. Quest-Logix recently announced the newest release (Ver.5.0.1) of their acclaimed Intelligent Business Continuity Solution with some major new enhancements. Here is a look at a few of them.

HOUSTON - Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Quest-Logix, the most advanced backup, disaster recovery (BDR) and business continuity solution available, now has a sleek, new User Interface to match. Priority one for the new interface was to reduce the time it takes to install, maintain, and most of all, restore and virtualize failed servers. Reducing time spent here can impact technician time and improve SLAs.

The new Restore Wizard is one of the biggest changes to the interface. It acts very similar to an installation wizard, while allowing users to do a file restore, VM or physical server restore, Bare Metal Restore and export backups—all from a single page—on site or remotely.

Data security is important to our clients. And in many cases it’s required, for businesses to be compliant with new rules and regulations. Quest-Logix is proud to announce its AES 256 encryption. The AES 256 encryption keeps clients’ data secure, from the Quest-Logix server to our compliant datacenters. And, users can protect servers universally, or individually as required.

The new Backup Insights has the ability to identify file changes between any two backup points in time. It can identify recovered files and applications directly from the interface with almost no information about when they were lost or even where on the machine they resided.  It also tracks trends over time to see what files have been modified and when. This tool is extremely easy to use and can be accessed right from the user interface. In a matter of seconds you can simultaneously mount different points and see all files broken down with easy to read icons showing if a file has been created, modified or deleted.

Existing Quest-Logix customers can upgrade to the new version at no additional charge as part of their maintenance. This upgrade will not require a reboot or any downtime.
