Quest-Logix Announces Linux Support for Business Continuity

Quest-Logix recently announced the addition of Linux support for all Quest-Logix Business Continuity Servers at no additional charge.

HOUSTON - Sept. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Quest-Logix, the premier supplier of Business Continuity solutions, has announced support for Linux in the Quest-Logix line of BC servers. “We are really excited about this addition” said John Marshall with Quest-Logix. “In addition to our Windows support, Quest-Logix now supports Linux Red Hat Enterprise, Ubantu, CentOS and others on our high availability/backup/recovery servers. File restore, local server virtualization, bare metal restore and image export are all available for Linux as they are for Windows.”

This new functionality allows users to back up entire Linux systems and virtualize them on the Quest-Logix Business Continuity server locally and in the cloud. Incremental backups can be set for every 5 minutes, 10 minutes, every hour or whatever schedule the user deems necessary per server. For users needing to encrypt data locally, that functionality is included. And, unlimited licenses come with every Quest-Logix Business Continuity server.

“In the past, we have protected machines running Windows 2000 and above, meaning older XP and Windows 7 machines are common in our customer base. Now, with the introduction for Linux support, organizations running Linux and Windows can utilize a single solution to protect both”.
