Rising International & Cibo Ristorante Italiano to Hold Special “Kick Off the New Year Celebratio

MONTEREY, Calif. - Jan. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Save the Date! Rising International and Cibo Ristorante Italiano will hold a special “Kick Off the New Year Celebration! Reception, Dinner and Global Marketplace Event Fundraiser” to benefit Rising International’s important programs that help women locally and globally

Where: Cibo Ristorante Italiano (www.cibo.com), 301 Alvarado (at the corner of Del Monte), in Downtown Monterey, CA 93940. Ample parking in adjacent parking garage.

When:  Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

What: This very special event kicks off with a Happy Hour Reception ($3 wine, beer, well drinks, specialty cocktails), and complimentary light appetizers served from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Throughout the evening, there will be shopping at the Rising International Global Marketplace that features exquisite handmade products made by Rising’s international artisans (www.risinginternational.org) . Attendees are encouraged to stay and enjoy dinner and cocktails from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm, as well as live jazz by the popular David Holodiloff Gypsy Jazz Trio.

Cibo Ristorante Italiano will donate 20% of the proceeds from the dinner for those who mention they are there to support Rising International.  Rising International is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, #26-040721.

The event will also feature a new specialty martini created especially for Rising International called "End Povertinis.”

January is also Human Trafficking Awareness Month and the event will feature products made by human trafficking survivors in the Global Marketplace.
