Chrysler Debuts Green SRT Viper at the North American International Auto Show

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- The North American International Show in Detroit begins on January 13, 2014 and is bound to create plenty of newsworthy car buzz. This new 2014 SRT Viper is painted with an eye-popping green and was inspired by the Snakeskin Green color available for the 2008 Dodge Viper, the last Viper before the supercar’s three-year hiatus. Chrysler is hoping to create some new buzz for the SRT Viper by releasing specially made, limited-edition colors for the model.

Chrysler has also said ahead that they will release a new Grand Touring package for the 2014 SRT Viper to go along with the new color. With the package, drivers will be able to get immaculately crafted Nappa leather seats and a few performance upgrades, including a five-mode electronic stability control and a two-mode Bilstein suspension system.

Additionally, Chrysler has also announced a new Time Attack special edition package available for the base 2014 SRT Viper. This package includes Brembo brakes, a racetrack-tuned suspension system, lighter wheels with soft tires, everything in the Advanced Aerodynamics Package, and some unique trim pieces.

Many drivers were dismayed after the iconic Dodge Viper supercar ended production in 2008, but can now take solace in its quick return. Last year, the vehicle was brought back under the SRT brand, and this year’s is set to return with the same thrilling performance. All models are equipped with an incredibly powerful 8.4L V10 engine producing 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough power to go from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.7 seconds, making the SRT Viper one of the fastest cars on the road.
