500 Children at the Mansion House meet Smartie Artie

Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Well the Lord Mayor's children's party was the usual success with over 500 children keen to have the best time ever.It really is the most traditional party with children in fancy dress and really quite elaborate outfits they have to!

Fiona Woolf is the 686th Lord Mayor and each year the current Lord Mayor holds the biggest the children's party!

It has been a tradition for many years at the Mansion House.

Smartie Artie has been entertaining at this wonderful event for well over 20 years and has as much fun as the children!

The comedy magic ,balloon modelling and puppets presented by Smartie Artie in the show performed throughout the afternoon are always a hit.

Smartie Artie performs in the spectacular  Egyptian Hall .The band supplies all the music and Stripey is the MC and organises the games including the time honoured musical chairs and Hokey Kokey. There is even a conga which is the longest as you can imagine with over 500 children being led around the Mansion House by the Lord Mayor of London!

Smartie Artie helps with the games and is part of the fun that happens in this room. There are other superb attractions in the smaller rooms including  the animal encounters show with a dispay of exotic animals and of course the  Punch and Judy show.

The children have a super tea and ther is no shortage of the expected cakes and sausages!

They all go home with a special momento which is different every year.

This year an engraved spoon with a the Lord Mayors carriage on the handle was much appreciated by all and of course they had a big balloon . They are released at the end of the party from a massive net in the Egyptian Hall.

It is quite sight to see 500 children jump up for a balloon which is organized with precision and care !

Smartie Artie looks forward to the next party be it at the Mansion House or anywhere else for that matter!
