Scholarship opportunity at Princeton Montessori School

PRINCETON, N.J. - Jan. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The Trustees of Princeton Montessori School are pleased to announce the Nancy McCormick Rambusch need-based tuition award to new students upon enrollment in the school's second to sixth grade programs.

The award covers up to 50% of the program fee and will be renewed annually through eighth grade. Applications are available on the Princeton Montessori School website and should be submitted by February 15, 2014.

The award is named for Dr. Nancy McCormick Rambusch (1927–1994), who is credited with establishing Montessori education in the United States. She was the founding president of the American Montessori Society, and former director of the Princeton Center for Teacher Education at Princeton Montessori School which trains teachers in the progressive educational philosophy and method established by Dr. Maria Montessori a century ago.

Princeton Montessori School follows Montessori's educational philosophy which espouses respect for the individual and community; fosters self-reliance and efficacy; develops intrinsic motivation; and ultimately enables each child to achieve his or her fullest potential.
