Follow on Google News | Mazda Set to Feature All-New Sports Car in 2015New Mazda MX-5 is expected to go on sale in 2015 and will feature new and unique styling.
By: Community Mazda http://www.communitymazda.com/ Some have called this next MX-5 Mazda’s “best-looking car ever.” The focus of this two-seat model is on the engineering and styling designs, featuring more muscular proportions. Design chief Ikuo Maeda and his team have created a unique design that will make the vehicle instantly recognizable as an MX-5, but will be different than other generations of this model. One company insider said that it will feature “very clean styling.” Design features owners can expect to see include the front axle being pushed forward along with a longer hood to better emphasize its rear wheel drive powertrain and longer wheelbase. It has also been said that the new Mazda MX-5 will be created with two different roof mechanisms just like the current model: a folding metal hard-top and a soft-top. Despite reports mentioning that the new MX-5 would feature a turbocharged engine, Mazda has instead chosen to go with naturally aspirated engines. It is expected that the engines powering this Mazda car will likely be Sky-Activ gasoline engines, most likely in the 1.5L to 2.0L range. At this point, horsepower and torque figures have yet to be determined, but drivers can expect numbers that will deliver an enjoyable driving experience. The new MX-5 is also likely to offer improved fuel efficiency ratings. As more information on this new Mazda sports car becomes available Community Mazda will pass along the details to their Tinley Park-area customers. In the meantime, southwest suburb Mazda drivers interested in current Mazda vehicles are encouraged to visit Community Mazda, located at 8325 W 159th Street in Tinley Park.
