Kroger & Fifth Third Bank involved in a massive scheme to cover up criminal activity

ATLANTA - Jan. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Kroger, specifically store #412 located on Cascade Highway in Atlanta, GA is part of a massive scheme to cover up criminal activities. Kroger and the Fifth Third Bank are unwilling to release video surveillance tapes in a timely fashion that catch criminals using a victim’s identity after a home invasion. Despite APD's repeat request and victum, Holland, pleading with store managers and corporate office, no one is willing to help this single mom of two who has been robbed.

Within hours after a home invasion occurred in the Old 4th Ward, a victim’s credit card was used and traced back to Kroger Store #412 and Fifth Third Bank.

Due to the store and bank’s unwillingness to turn over video surveillance footage, 4 other home invasions took place and the criminals today are still on the street, committing felony crimes from identity theft to possible armed robbery to home invasion.

When home invasions or crime occurs timing is everything. When big stores make it difficult for police to get footage, crimes continue to occur, making thieves all the more willing to go on committing crimes and interrupting innocent victims’ lives, including children.

One victim is rallying the other victims and looking to sue Kroger, Fifth Third Bank, Microsoft and other large corporation for aiding and abetting this criminal activity. Lara Holland is in pursuit to sue these corporations under the basis of company is knowingly making a mistake by not promptly connecting with local authorities, managers of local stores saying “this happens to black people all the time, why should we help solve crimes faster when it’s a white person?” Negligence is causing injury to the victims, their families and others. Deception- by hiding the videos, not releasing them to the authorities and the police not releasing them to the victims, these criminals are walking their streets, invading their homes and disturbing their privacy. The more time goes on the less likely the items will be replaced.

Holland did not have renters insurance, because she could not afford it with high rents and utlity rates in Georgia while starting a business and raising two children without child support or income. She also cannot afford to replace the stolen items, some of which are irreplaceable including family heirlooms, coins collected by her children, cash on hand for rent and of course the identity of herself and her two children.

While Discover has refunded the charges on her credit card, her identity and the identities of her children have been compromised and the future is still uncertain as to what the criminals will do with the information they stole. These criminals are already trying to open credit cards in the names of the victims and obtain loans, they could also be signing leases and committing crimes against other persons with the stolen, loaded weapon they obtained.

Georgia laws are not harsh on these criminals. They may receive 1 to 5 year sentence, if they are all caught. Judges will often let them off with a slap on the hand and that is part of the reason crime rates in areas like Atlanta are so high. Prisons may be overcrowded but that is no excuse to let thieves continue to get away with serious crimes that greatly impact those who are working hard doing honest work trying desperately to support their families.

Video surveillance was everywhere when these thieves used her card at Kroger and Fifth Third Bank. Additionally Microsoft has IP addresses but these companies make it very difficult to get this information and take too much time to provide it to the authorities.

Holland has spent countless hours trying to deliver peace of mind and safety reassurance to her children and herself. She works a portion of her day to personally track down the criminals and the stolen goods. She has placed herself in danger numerous times when police departments won't get involved. She helps do neighborhood watch and brings neighbors and fellow victims together to try to help stop future crimes. She has hardly slept since the incident occurred on 1-9-2014.

Kroger, Fifth Third Bank and Microsoft are in no hurry to help this single mom out of a bad situation nor the other victums this continues to occur with.
