By: Get Fit NH "All of the Get Fit NH family is known for their incredible generosity. Between Toys for Tots and Get Fit NH's food drive in December I can assure you that we made some people very happy this holiday season," said Coach Meagan Sbat. "But why just focus on giving in December? There are 11 other months in the year that we want to give a helping hand where we can." Friends of Forgotten Children, a 100% volunteer-run provider of food, clothing and holiday gifts for low income and at-risk individuals and families, has been serving the greater Concord area since 1972. Get Fit NH has close ties to Friends of Forgotten Children. Tom Rochette, who trains as part of the 6:15 Epsom crew serves on the board of directors at FOFC and has long been a strong advocate for this incredible organization. Coach Meagan continued, "Our goal for this first event was to have 50 people in the gym training." Friends of Forgotten Children was thrilled that her goal was well underestimated. “We were overwhelmed by the number of clients who brought their friends and family. We had a great time with about 75 people just having a blast sweating it out and lending a helping hand.” "It is awesome to have such great supporters as Get Fit NH, Dean and Nancy Carlson and their many generous clients and friends in helping Friends of Forgotten Children raise in excess of $1,200.00 to help the less fortunate in the Concord area," said Tom Rochette.
