Kane & Co Promotes CPAs Diana Rivera and Muhammad Farooq

MIAMI - Jan. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- The accounting and consulting firm of Kane & Company, P.A., CPAs and Advisors has promoted Diana Rivera, CPA to Senior Audit Manager and Muhammad Farooq, CPA to Audit Manager.

Rivera specializes in financial auditing and forensic examinations. Her clients include local businesses and individuals in South Florida as well as from Latin America. Prior to being promoted, Rivera was an Audit Supervisor and she has worked for Kane & Company for the last eight years. Her responsibilities also include directing the Brickell Breakfast Series (BBS), a monthly networking group for Brickell/Downtown Miami business professionals and residents sponsored by Kane & Company. Active in the community, Rivera is the South Florida Director of the Florida Association of the Puerto Rico CPAs and an active member of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).  She received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico.

Farooq specializes in financial auditing and various consulting services including financial analysis, forensic examinations and litigation support services. Prior to being promoted, Farooq was an Audit Supervisor. Farooq’s career includes extensive experience in international trade from Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) before joining Kane & Company seven years ago. He holds the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and is an active member of the FICPA and AICPA. Farooq received his Master’s in Accounting from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
