WEST HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Here’s a sure way to combat the mid-winter blues: enjoy a warm, lively evening with breathtaking music and delicious food, plus the satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped save lives. Many of the outstanding professional singers you’ve applauded at past North Shore Music Festival (http://northshoremusicfestival.org/) operas, or will hear at upcoming events (Metropolitan Opera tenor Adam Klein (http://www.adamcjklein.us/), Soprano Julia Lima (http://www.julialima.org/) and Bass-baritone Daniel Klein (http://danielkleinonline.com/)) will showcase their talents at Pompei Ristorante (http://pompei.kpsearch.com/df/default.asp), 401 Hempstead Avenue, West Hempstead, New York. The dinner and entertainment will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 6:30–9:30 p.m. with all proceeds donated to the National Kidney Foundation. This special event will honor Thomas Ferro, CFO of Metropolitan Recycling. He is a long-time supporter of the arts and music, as well as the National Kidney Foundation (http://www.kidney.org/).

A complete four-course, sit-down dinner will be served, including wine, beer and soda, accompanied by a feast of your favorite arias and show-stoppers from opera and musical theater. Come yourself and bring a party of friends for a truly festive evening. Tickets are available for $125 ($150 after February 7), a table of 8 for $900 (tax deductible to the extent permitted by law) online at northshoremusicfestival.org. For more information call Ed Sawchuk at (917) 868-1869.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear everyone’s favorite arias and Broadway tunes without leaving Long Island. Tenor Adam Klein has performed nearly a dozen leading roles at the Metropolitan Opera, and in 2010 made his debut as Tristan with the Seattle Opera. The North Shore Music Festival selected Adam to sing the role of Cavaradossi for its inaugural production of Tosca. Julia Lima was awarded 1st prize in the Metropolitan National Council Audition (New York 2011). She has sung major roles with Amore Opera, the Knoxville Opera and the Dicapo Opera. Daniel Klein has performed nationally with Taconic Opera, the Lyric Opera of San Diego, Dicapo Opera, the Fresno Grand Opera, St. Petersburg Opera and the New Canaan Summer Theater, as well as internationally in Tel Aviv, Hungary and Brazil. In addition to enjoying a wonderful evening, diners will be supporting an important cause, the National Kidney Foundation.
