Follow on Google News | Two Litchfield Bancorp Employees Recognized as New Leaders in BankingBy: Litchfield Bancorp Each year, the CBA and Connecticut Banking Magazine present New Leader Awards to exemplary Connecticut banking employees under the age of 50. Recipients must have made an outstanding impact, not only in the workplace, but also within their community. McLaughlin began working at Litchfield Bancorp in 1990 as a teller, and through successive promotions is now the bank’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has also completed a program with the highly regarded American Bankers Association’ Warner, who began her career at the bank in 2000, served both as Branch Manager and Business Development Officer before being promoted to Vice President, Commercial Lender. A graduate of the esteemed ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Margret is also an active volunteer in the community, working with the Litchfield-Morris Rotary Club, NW CT Chamber of Commerce Programs and United Way of Northwest Connecticut. According to Thomas J. Villanova, President and Chief Executive Officer of Litchfield Bancorp, the CBA and Connecticut Banking Magazine could not have made finer choices. “We are thrilled that two of our most accomplished officers were chosen among 100+ nominees. The Board of Directors and I are extremely proud of Paul and Margret and all they do for the bank and our customers.” Nominees are named by co-workers, supervisors and business partners for their enlightened approach to elevated business practices and community development. An independent panel comprised of members unaffiliated to the Connecticut banking community makes the final decision regarding honorees. Both McLaughlin and Warner, along with other recipients, were honored at The Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the MGM Grand Resort at Foxwoods in Ledyard, CT, during the 2014 BankWorld conference. Litchfield Bancorp is a mutual savings bank with assets of $210 million offering full service offices in Litchfield, Torrington, Watertown, Washington and Lakeville.
