ORLANDO, Fla. - Feb. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Earthscape Nursery and other Orlando Landscaping companies are being challenged as Winter Storm Maximus wreaks havoc on our neighboring northern states. Winter Storm Maximus, the 13th named storm this winter in the United States, will cover our country with a snowy white mess from coast to coast by the time it finally ceases Monday morning.

This winter storm will bring multiple waves of snow, sleet and freezing rain across our country sweeping from the west coast to the east coast. The state of Florida and our Central Florida lawns will not be sheltered one bit and will feel the dipping temperatures off and on throughout the weekend.

Countless storm systems have passed over our country this winter season and have dampened many landscaping businesses across Central Florida. Irrigation systems are freezing causing them to crack which makes the need for landscaping and irrigation companies like Earthscape Nursery of Orlando, Florida, that much greater.

“Our Orlando landscaping clients spread across many counties from Orange to Seminole county and from towns like Isleworth and Winter Garden, and they are concerned that their landscaping and irrigation needs will only be delayed causing our schedules to fall out of sync from what we’re used to this time of the year,” states Derrick Gogul of Earthscape Nursery. “What concerns me most are the various tropical plants that are being grown at our nursery that are being affected, and if they die, I will lose thousands of dollars on top of stalling my irrigation and landscaping business.

Orlando lawn care is a very lucrative business being that there is sunshine almost every day of the year, but this unseasonably cold weather season is hurting many Orlando and surrounding Central Florida landscaping companies.

“We’re not concerned. We’ve been hit with harsher weather conditions in Florida before, from hurricanes to tornadoes and we’ve gotten through and kept our Orlando Landscaping business strong. This too shall pass.” Gogul exclaims.

With Groundhog Day just around the corner, let’s cross our fingers for a short Winter Season and pray that our Orlando landscaping industry can get started before the warmer season starts.
