Denver Bronco, Mike Adams, Plans Post Game Route

PATERSON, N.J. - Feb. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Gearing up for the biggest game of his 10-year career, Mike Adams is going forth with his post game plans of walking towards his hometown following the Super bowl XLVIII game vs the Seattle Seahawks.

After winning the AFC championship, Adams reported that he would walk from the Met Life Arena in his shoulder pads towards the home he grew up in. The 9.2 mile walk has to be altered for safety and location reasons within the immense event occurring in New Jersey.  Walking along the highway is actually illegal, so thankfully the Paterson Police Department stepped in and assisted Adams team of people with a strategy to execute his idea of walking “home”.

“The story has gone viral.  People are following it in our small hometown and across the country.  Pops (Mike’s longtime nickname) has a great story, and we are so glad it’s starting to be defined”, said Adams brother, Patrick Thompson.

“I said it, and I meant it.  There is so much history and meaning to my journey that I hope people will learn to understand about me,” Adams said. “Paterson, New Jersey is my home and I don’t ever forget that”.

Adams will be escorted and dropped off after Route 3 by police cars following the game.  He will then proceed to route 21 North. He will fulfill all Denver Bronco post-game requirements before the “walk” occurs.

Mike “Pops” Adams, born March 24, 1981 in Paterson, New Jersey, is currently a Safety with the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers (2004-2006) as an undrafted free agent in 2004 and also spent time with the Cleveland Browns (2007-2011), prior to the Broncos in 2012. He played college football at the University of Delaware.  Mike is an active philanthropist and thrives on giving back to his community.
