RALEIGH, N.C. - Feb. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- On Friday, February 14, Habitat for Humanity of Wake County and Coastal Federal Credit Union will hold a home dedication ceremony at 12 p.m. at the new Koledji home located at 4911 Werribee Drive, Raleigh, NC. This event is open to the public. Coastal Federal Credit Union is the exclusive sponsor of this home construction project, which was generously funded by the company’s fundraising initiative, “Share the Love.” This home is one of 32 being constructed by Habitat Wake and its partners this year.

Coastal Federal Credit Union raised $100,000 for the construction of this home through the support of individuals, Coastal members, and Coastal associates. The “Share the Love” campaign included social media interaction through Facebook and Twitter, as well as numerous fundraising events. The dedication of this home on Valentine’s Day fits perfectly with the focus of Coastal’s goal to “Share the Love” within the community. While many will be giving roses and chocolates to their “Valentines,” Coastal Federal Credit Union is partnering with Habitat Wake and the Koledji Family to make the dream of homeownership a reality. The family is purchasing an affordable, safe home that will make a difference in their lives for years to come.

Coastal, Habitat Wake and the Koledji Family broke ground on the home in September 2013. Over the past five months, Coastal employees and the Koledji Family have worked side by side on the construction of this home.  Mr. and Mrs. Koledji have completed 250 hours of “sweat equity” in the construction of their home. For nearly 30 years, Habitat Wake has brought people together to build homes, communities and hope.

“Habitat for Humanity of Wake County is one of our very important community partners. They are an organization that is living proof that the American dream of home ownership is still possible- even in today’s uncertain economy. We are pleased to see all of our initiatives to date generate awareness, funds and ultimately, spread our vision of building a new Habitat home for a well-deserving family,” said Chuck Purvis, Coastal Federal Credit Union’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

“Habitat Wake’s partnership with Coastal Federal has been so successful,” said Kevin Campbell, Habitat Wake President and CEO. “Coastal associates have brought so much enthusiasm and energy to this construction project. The members of Coastal and Koledji families have become close, and the “Share the Love” campaign has become more than just a name,” said Campbell.
