Biggers Chevy is Sponsoring After-School Community Soccer Program For Kids

Feb. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Thanks to a sponsorship from Biggers Chevy, a local Elgin, IL Chevy dealership (http://www.biggerschevy.com/cities/chevy-dealer-near-elgin/), families can bring their children to the Eastside Rec Center at 1080 E. Chicago Street to participate in a drop-in soccer program for the 2014 winter and spring season. This program allows kids who are between 6 and 10 years old the opportunity to partake in an organized sport that doesn’t cost parents a penny. Riverworks Outreach will be helping to supervise this program, and the Elgin Police Department will have officers stopping by to join in on the fun as well.

Biggers Chevy wants to promote and encourage exercise in an entertaining and supportive environment. This community soccer program is the perfect opportunity for children to practice teamwork and enjoy each other’s company after school without parents having to worrying about the expense. Not only is this program great for the participating youth, but it also fosters positive relationships between neighboring families and the peace officers that serve the Elgin community.

Other sporting events and teams that Biggers Chevy has sponsored include the 2013 Big League Softball Tournament and South Elgin Little League. Biggers Chevrolet donated $2,500 worth of brand-new equipment to the South Elgin Little League and provided tours to Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Field for ten kids. Raffle tickets were also sold with $5 service coupons, which raised thousands of dollars for participating teams. The 2013 Big League Central Region softball tournament took place last July and was held at the Elgin National Little League Field. Biggers Chevrolet generously sponsored this tournament by donating equipment and offsetting travel expenses.
