Fly a real military aircraft and engage in aerial combat (no actual firepower involved) at Air Combat USA in California's Orange County. This civilian dog fighting school—simulating aerial combat between two fighter planes—lets you take to the skies in a SIAI Marchetti SF-260 or Extra 300L, aircrafts that can handle real-life combat sequences. Before you jump into the cockpit, you'll learn the basic maneuvers of aerial combat (think loops, vertical rolls, spins and more).

Your instructor will handle the takeoff and landing of the plane, but once you reach a safe altitude you'll be in charge, facing off in combat engagements with another pilot. Don't worry—it's all visual—an electronic tracking system in the plane uses sound effects and smoke to create a more realistic experience. Plus, there's a mounted video camera in the cockpit to capture your battle, so you can re-live your time in the air after you land.
