By: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.- HCAC The Black Author Spotlight takes place at the Harford County Public Library - Aberdeen Branch located at 21 Franklin Street, Aberdeen, MD 21201. The event is free to the public and attendees can meet the showcased authors, listen to readings, ask questions, and purchase their autographed books. Peter W. Byrd is the author of The Son of Seven Daughters: A 350-Year Family Album: Volumes 1, 2, and 3. The “Seven Daughters” represent the daughter- to-daughter maternal line that begins in 1766 with the author’s 5th great grandmother. The “Seven Daughters” series is a seven generation journey of colonial America for families of color; enslaved and free! K. R. Raye is the author of The Colors Trilogy featuring the Amazon Best-Selling, contemporary novel, The Colors of Friendship and the sequel The Colors of Love. The Colors Trilogy novels follow three college friends during their search for true love, NFL fame, and a successful engineering career. The final book in The Colors Trilogy, True Colors, publishes March 25, 2014.
