Spanish computer services company settles in Nicaragua

MANAGUA, Nicaragua - Feb. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- PeopleWalking, a Spanish computer services company, has officially established in Nicaragua since early this year. After a participation in the Madrid Business Forum in November 2013, and a later visit to the country in December, the company ventured to develop their project in Nicaragua.

The PeopleWalking Nicaragua society was officially constituted as a Nicaraguan company in late January 2014 and has already started recruiting. The company expects to grow and strengthen its team as they stabilize their operations. In terms of their services export destinations there are no limits established, but Latin America is its main market.

According to its 2014-2016 business plan, PeopleWalking’s investment project is divided in two phases: the first one during 2014, which will generate 20 direct professional positions, until slowly reaching the second phase in 2016, with more than 120 direct job positions.

Also, as a part of their alliance with the Free Software I+D Foundation (Fidesol, for its acronym in Spanish) aimed to research, development and marketing of services and tools based on information technology, PeopleWalking will work with the Engineering National University (UNI, for its acronym in Spanish), transferring technology and knowledge, training and capacitating professionals, and developing software. This agreement will also allow them to recruit and select personnel for the company. Therefore, PeopleWalking’s facilities have been established in UNI’s Campus, at Building 01 “Ing. Julio Padilla Méndez”.

PeopleWalking was founded in Barcelona in 2009 and is specialized in providing information technology solutions and services. Their services include quality consultancy; solutions integration, especially in open technology; service management and software maintenance; and software factory.
