The Hilton Head Island Golf & Tennis Festival To Feature Free Golf and Tennis Clinics

Feb. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Lowcountry residents won’t want to miss out on the fun when The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa presents The Hilton Head Golf & Tennis Festival from Feb. 27-March 2. This all-new event features a PGA Carolinas-sanctioned tournament, a variety of tennis events, a Fashion Show Luncheon and silent auction, and a free Pro Exhibition. Free golf and tennis lessons will also be available thanks in part to sponsor Infiniti of Hilton Head, the premier Infiniti dealership near Hilton Head Island.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the festival will go to the Hilton Head Island PGA Chapter’s Junior Golfers’ Association and the Tennis Association of Hilton Head Island.

The centerpiece of the festival will be the Hilton Head Cup Pro-Am Tournament, which will take place from Friday, Feb. 28, to Saturday, March 1, at the Sea Pines Resort, Harbour Town Golf Links, and Heron Point Golf Courses, but there will be plenty of other events happening to keep everyone busy.

During the week of Feb. 24, golf and tennis pros will be conducting an assortment of free clinics on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton. Clinics will include Cardio Tennis for adults and children, Round Robin tournaments, Fast-Drills, a Pro-Am Exhibit, and an Island Tennis Festival Playday, among others. The Fashion Show Luncheon and Silent Auction is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Palmetto Hall. Local celebrities will be modeling fashions for both on and off the course and courts, and the silent auction will feature a variety of high-end luxury items. Tickets are $50 per person, and each ticket comes with a goody bag full of raffle prizes, gifts, and surprises.
