2014 Dates Announced For Tualatin Crawfish Festival

PORTLAND, Ore. - Feb. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The Tualatin Crawfish Festival, Tualatin’s annual city festival and celebration announced today that the dates for the 2014 festival - August 1-3, 2014.

2014 marks some significant changes to the festival, which will celebrate its 64^th year.  Last year the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce announced the 2013 festival would be the last one it would produce.    In late December 2013 The City of Tualatin selected Social Media Northwest to produce the festival.

The new vision presented expands the festival, introducing exciting new elements.  New for 2014 will be upgraded entertainment, a themed Oregon microbrew and wine “neighborhood “within the festival,  tighter controls on the food menu with ties to the festival’s Crawfish and Cajun themes.

The 2014 festival will introduce, for the first time, an extension of the festival to Sunday with hours of 10am-6pm.  The Friday night kickoff free event continues at Tualatin Commons.

The 2014 dates also move the festival forward one week.  The decision was made based on comments from food vendors who also set up at the “Bite of Oregon.”  The new dates will allow vendors to now work both events.

“We are very excited about the expanded format of our awarding winning Tualatin Crawfish Festival.  The best is yet to come and no one should miss it!” said Lou Ogden, mayor of Tualatin.

2014 Dates/Times:

Friday August 1, 2014- Kickoff night at Tualatin Commons.  6:00-10:00pm

Saturday August 2, 2014- Tualatin Community Park.  10:00am-10:30pm

Sunday August 3, 2014- Tualatin Community Park.  10:00am-6:00pm
