The Manchester Social Club to Perform at RedGorilla Music Fest

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Feb. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The Manchester Social Club (TMSC), a pub rock band from Santa Barbara CA, has been selected to perform on Saturday March 15 as part of the 12th annual RedGorilla Music Fest (http://www.redgorillamusic.com)  in Austin, Texas.

RedGorilla Music Fest takes place during one of the most important music weeks of the year. Each year in early March, the city of Austin, TX becomes the music industry’s premier destination, and thousands of fans and industry professionals descend upon Austin to network and check out new talent.

The 2014 RedGorilla Music Fest takes place Tuesday, March 11 through Saturday, March 15 in 11 venues on and around 6th Street; right in the heart of all the action. The event is free to attend and open to the general public.

Over the years, some of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the world have been showcased by RedGorilla Music Fest.  As a result, RedGorilla Music Fest has earned a reputation as the “go-to showcase for discovering great new music.”

Prior year musicians have included now-well-known acts like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Andrew WK and Cage The Elephant.

The Manchester Social Club performs at 7pm on March 15 at The Thirsty Nickel, 326 E. 6th St., Austin.

Blending American and British indie-punk inspirations, TMSC-lead singer, Nate Beck’s mature, slightly dusty voice couples well with the guitar in a largely cheery-toned collection of what has been dubbed “pub-rock songs” by Minneapolis’ music tabloid “Vita.MN” .

The band's set list is comprised of songs from their recently released “Soapbox Standards” album. The album, launched in December 2013, charted at #19 on the CMJ Radio Adds Chart in its first week of distribution. It is digitally available for purchase on Itunes and Amazon and in CD-format at the RedGorilla Music Fest show.
