Linda survived the Big C by taking control of her health, emerging a healthier and happier person as a consequence.  This is such an important book to give you a different attitude to a disease which is no longer the killer it was, and allows you to see it as a gateway to a longer life.

Secondly we have Kenny's moving, heartfelt book on his fight against suicide, Always Smiling Through The Tears, including some pretty graphic accounts of his failures to hang himself.  This book is for those people too often ignored by society, and written in their language, rather than the words of the medical profession.  It is a great help in understanding motivations and how to lead people out of their self-imposed cell of depression.

Finally we have Nikki King's startling book, Unconditional, which forces you to find beauty in yourself - and it's not what you think it is.  Nikki was a successful model and found the traditional view of beauty disempowering.  This is her answer.
