Springfield Music Announces Women Who Rock Sponsorship

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Feb. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- SPRINGFIELD, MO (February 24, 2014) – Springfield Music, a premier music instrument store in Springfield, Missouri, announced today their sponsorship of a new local music organization:  Women Who Rock.

Founded earlier this year, Women Who Rock is a networking group created in support of local female musicians. Members share performance and event announcements as well as request for band memberships, equipment sharing and volunteer opportunities. Membership consists of both Springfield area supporters and women musicians.

“Organizations like this help empower women. Everyone has her days where she doubts herself and having a positive support system of so many talented woman can make all the difference,” says Raven Ridinger, local musician and Women Who Rock member.  “I'm excited to see what this driven and influential group of woman will do in the community and am proud to be a part of it.”

As a sponsor, Springfield Music offers group members store discounts, limited usage of the Springfield Music Performance Room, and equipment usage for the group's monthly Jam Night/Happy Hour. Jam nights are currently scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month at Lindberg's Bar on Commercial Street. Members also receive discount perks through Springfield Music.

“Springfield has a strong community of musicians, some of the most talented of whom are women,” says Mitch Brashers, Springfield Music Store Manager. “We're thrilled to see an organization step up to support the female musician demographic and are proud to support it.”
